DR, Year of Wild Magic In addition to these more common troubles, the upper vale, that north of the Greyflow is haunted by undead and the rampaging demon-troops of Hellgate Keep. These lands are perilous indeed. Bordered to the north, south, and east by the giant and goblin-infested Greypeak mountains and to the west by the vast wildness of the High Forest-perhaps the largest expanse of forest remaining in Faerūn-this is a territory roamed by monsters and rapacious humanoids. The vale is also home to many shattered ruins of lost Netheril, haunted by fearsome creatures twisted and tormented by fell magic, and the remnants of lost kingdoms of dwarf, elf, and man.
